I'm working on re-branding and need to get some new price lists (among other things) for a bridal show in a few weeks. What color scheme do you like the best? It's primarily for weddings, but I would use the same branding for my portrait shoots (mostly babies and weddings) including things like DVDs/CDs, envelopes prints come in, etc. etc. Here's the front of my pricing booklets (sorry about the cheesy wording - if anyone has a better idea on that, I'd love that too). Here are the options:
Pink
Green
Blue

Re: NPR - Marketing Stuff - Clicky Poll
I think the green would look good on your blog too.
BTW, your pictures are amazing!
Doooooode- I just got SO wrapped up in your pictures. You are very talented, VERY!
I am green with envy right now....

Those pictures are beautiful.
i voted for green. I think it's the most versatile, business-wise.

DD - December 2008
Ditto Jamaica---awesome pics!
Of the 3 colors, I like green the best, but I don't think of pastels when I think of classic, timeless elegance. What about gold? Silver?
As for the wording, the "and you danced all night" didn't seem to really "flow" with the rest of that sentence. I don't have another suggestion at the moment...but I'll think about it.
Hope that helps some:-)
Thanks everyone!! For the compliments and the input!! I changed the blog over to green so let me know what you think of that.
I would love to do gold or silver, but it's hard to use those colors on a website or even printed material. Maybe as an accent color with ribbons or something on my packaging... There are some really beautiful silver envelopes that I could use for delivering prints with a green ribbon and then a sticker with my logo. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
I need to proof read the writing! I'll double check it.
I know!! I'm so proud of us! I know it sounds silly but with all the pre-term labor stuff and everything else going on, I'm just so excited to make it full term. If I make it another 2 days, I'll be the farthest along I've ever been since DD#1 came at 37w3d and DD#2 at 36w2d. I'm getting anxious just because I want to get us back into our routine and I feel like everything's been on hold for so long with the bedrest and all. At the same time, part of me so isn't ready!!
FWIW - The bridal show is two weeks from tomorrow, but I am not planning on actually being there or being there long. I have an associate photographer who will be manning the booth and then a friend/wedding coordinator will be coming by to help him for the busiest hours. Depending on when this little boy comes and how I'm feeling, I might stop by for a short bit, but I'm not planning on being there at all. (I've had a few people ask me about it when I start talking about a bridal show.) DH is going to help with set up and break down like always and I need to get all the marketing material ordered as well as new prints and things like that, but I wasn't planning on physically being there or being there long if I did.
Totally butting in, but the English teacher in me can't resist
Another poster noted that the "and you danced all night" didn't flow well. I agree--and it's because you have a list w/o a parallel grammatical construction. You want to say something like "you said your vows, you exchanged rings and you danced all night" for consistency. Otherwise, your list mixes verbs and nouns as subjects and it sounds choppy.
