where did you get big kid furniture at?

I'm looking at furniture for DS so that we can give his crib/furniture to the baby.  I'm not seeing much at the few local stores that we have gone to and the ones that I do like are way more than what we want to spend.

where did you get furniture and twin bed from?  About how much did you spend? thanks!

  • Rooms to Go Kids had the best selection around here.  I don't love RTG but it was where I found the most selection and what I liked for the girls.  Here's two pics from their big girl room.

  • Pottery Barn Kids. I got classic styles that he will be able to use for a long time, and his PBK crib has held up extremely well, so I felt good going with them again.

  • We got DD's twin bed at PBK on sale, and found her dresser and toy chest at American Furniture Warehouse.

At first I thought PBK was too pricey, but from looking around, I realized that it really was comparable to the prices I was seeing on kids' beds at local stores. :P Unless you go with just a metal frame or headboard only, I was surprised at how expensive twin beds were!

We tried looking at CL, too, but ended up buying new.
