Daily devotion recommendation for busy moms

I know this won't apply to everyone and I am certainly not trying to offend anyone that is not interested.  I just thought that there might be a someone on here was in the same situation I was and this could be helpful.

Prior to having DD I really enjoyed different Bible studies/devotions but once DD was born I found that I didn't have the time to devote to a long study and unfortunately gave up all together.  A friend recently recommended the daily devotion book Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.  I have really enjoyed it and the length (one page per day) works well with my time.  It starts on Jan 1 and goes through the whole year but you could pick it up at any point and start.

I have been looking for something for almost a year and wish I had found this book earlier.  Like I said I am not trying to offend anyone but thought someone on here might be searching like I was.  Thanks!

  • Thanks - I'll check it out.

  • Thank you for this recommendation.  Have you ever heard of The Daily Word?  It's a booklet of daily affirmations published by the organization Silent Unity.  I highly recommend it; my mother's been reading it in Spanish for as long as I can remember and she gave me a gift subscription when I got married.  I've been renewing it ever since.  They're a great resource for prayer, and also publish many other booklets throughout the years that I often send away for.
