XP from MM: AW got in to business school!

So with all my crappy posts in the last few months about my miscarriage and then my divorce, I am happy to share that things are looking up! I got accepted to b-school yesterday! I start in the fall. I will be doing Colorado State's Distance MBA program. I have wanted to get an MBA for a while, but my stbx discouraged it so I didn't ever apply. With my new single mom status, a traditional on-campus MBA wasn't doable for me. The Colorado State Distance MBA combines the on-campus teaching (via DVDs of the class lectures and student interactions with the prof) and online discussions. Group projects are done via Net Meeting or similar programs, and from what I understand they try and put you in groups where the others in your group live near you if possible. I was told that CA (where I am) has the 2nd highest student population in this program behind Colorado, so it should be a problem to work on group projects with people in CA which is nice for networking as well.

Congrats!  It will be a busy couple years, but so worth it.  Mine provided a significant boost to my career and income.  And good for you for taking the opportunity to do things you couldn't have while with an unsupportive H!
