Anyone NOT buy(ing) a double stroller?

I'm trying to think of the times when I use a stroller & if I really need a double stroller.  We have a jogging stroller that the infant seat attaches to.  We had a chicco capri but it was left at a mall.  I hate the idea of buying another stroller if it's not going to get much use.

I have an ergo & a maya wrap but I'm not sure if I like the idea of taking #2 out of the infant seat each time DS#1 needs the stroller.

Thoughts?  What did/will you do?

I understand where you are coming from.  my son is currently 14 months old and is never in a stroller.  hasn't been in a stroller in months.  I plan/hope to wear my newborn quite often, and will be able to use the single strollers we currently own if my toddler needs a ride.  Basically, we're waiting until after the newborn is here to decide about a double stroller.  I imagine we will get one at some point, but maybe not right away (and definitely not before the new one arrives)

I thought that I would be able to do without one, but I just caved. We live in the city and walk everywhere. While I don't mind carrying DD in the moby or bjorn, it was a pain in the butt to not be able to put her down the whole time once we got where we were going. She also sleeps more soundly in the stroller (probably mostly b/c it is freezing out right now, so when she was in a carrier, her head/ face were still feeling some of the wind- in the stroller it is blocked).

I didn't buy one right away, but ended up borrowing a big old graco one that came in very handy when they were both little.  Once #2 was about 6 mos old, I got a light weight SBS and that has been nice too.  Then I bought a used sit n stand and we use that a bunch as well.  I just do what I need ot in order to make my life easier. I like having options for different situations.

I do an exercise stroller class so I will definitely need one for that.  We also plan on having 3 kids so the double stroller would be used for DS and DC2 and then DC2 and DC3.

same here.  i plan on wearing baby exclusively the first several months and then decide what to do about a stroller later.

waited until ds was 9 m/o... until then either he was carried in a hotsling or bjorn and dd rode... or he rode in the stroller and dd walked... I could hipsling dd with the hotsling if necessary (only had to do a couple of times)... so it stayed in the diaperbag at all times. we bought the P&T when ds was 9m/o b/c we moved to a big city... and we needed a double for our walks. I have to walk a dog.  so we'd walk a couple of miles every day.  P&T is nice now too b/c I use it as a single when dd is in preschool and ds and I just go out and about alone.

I'd totally recommend waiting and seeing what you need after the fact.
