Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

So I am trying to plan a getaway

for DH and I, and am not sure where to go! It needs to be in March and must meet this criteria: hotel must have a spa, private patio off of the room to sunbathe, and be a short flight from Maryland. Okay, so where is it 80-85 degrees in March, and does this hotel exist??!!

i posted on the travel board too, somebody has to know!

  • Puerto Rico, cheap 2.5 hour direct flight from Dulles.

Clean, fun and safe city. Not expensive and very friendly.Or fave resort:

Adult only resort, perfect weather, all-inclusive!  Awesome place.  Don't know how far that is for you though...  We stayed at the El Dorado Royale.  Wish I could go back right now!!

We went to El Dorado Seaside Suites and it was AMAZING!!

  • How short a flight? Somewhere in the caribbean might be your best flight. I think you can get direct flights to Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas from Dulles or BWI, not sure what other islands. We just got back from visiting St. John (1/2 ferry from St. Thomas) and it was wonderful. Caneel Bay is the place to stay there- though I've not been b/c my aunt lives there. In Jamaica, check out The Rockhouse Hotel in Negril. My favorite place is actually Jake's, but it is a hike to get there. Very private, though! I've only flown through Puerto Rico but I'd love to visit sometime. I'm sure they have somewhere that meets your requirement too! Have fun!
    Peru!

  • I was just looking at El Dorado Seaside Suites...just wondering if it is worth the $ for only 3 days, and to pay for all inclusive and I can't drink...but holy cow, it looks like exactly what I want!  Someone else suggested Key West in another thread. Has anyone been? Is it warm in March?

And thanks for the great responses!

I LOVED Seaside Suites but I'm sure the all inclusive part is a majority of the money and if you can't drink, it might put a damper on that. :(  Perhaps try a place that makes all inclusive optional, and then hit up Seaside Suites in the future.

DH and I want to go back for our 5 year anniversary (will probably end up being 10).

OMG, I saw the pictures of the rooms with the lounge chairs in the water-and attached to your patio, I want this!!! I was dying, this place looks fabulous! How was the food???
