Help? What are some suggestions or helpful hints. This is only my second day and I can see that it is going to get old pretty quickly. Any help I would greatly appericate.
Isnt there a bed rest group/check in day on this board?

I keep busy by watching/DVRing a bunch of bad TV (I am watching 90210 as I write this), my husband downloads movies for me, we have Netflix Watch Instantly, and I have stacks and stacks of library books that I am working my way through. And I'm not too proud to beg-- I ask people to come visit all the time!

I'm at the hospital on bed rest so it is a lot different then being at home so I spend many hours on the computer, read, crossword puzzles, and I watch a lot of mindless tv. This is only day 2 for me at the hospital but I was on bed rest at home earlier on and that was my list of things to do.
Ive been on hospital bedrest for over a week now and I will say that the 1st week of bedrest (either home or in a hospital) is the worst but once you get over that hump the days actually go by pretty quickly--I, like pp, watch crappy tv online (Im too impatient to watch it real time w/ commercials) and I watch ALOT of Netflix On-Demand (if you dont have Netflix its SO worth the $10/month or whatever to have access to so many on-demand movies/shows)--I watch TV series on that which really help the day go by faster, If you havent watched Lost it is one I recommend b/c Netflix has the 1st 6 seasons On-Demand and each season has like 25 episodes at 45 mins a piece--you do the math--thats alot of hours spent watching Lost haha Im only on season 2 now.
Ive also watched all the seasons of 30 rock which is another good one to watch b/c its funny and upbeat-- I have a stack of library books, puzzle books, etc. and I have some knitting--you could also try digital scrapbooking if that is something you would be into (ive heard creativememories.com is a good site for this), Ive also written out thank you notes, updated my baby registries and joined a bunch of message boards and yahoo groups (since I am struggling w/ IUGR I found a yahoo group for other moms who have experienced this) Also--use this time to do TONS of research on different procedures, treatments, etc. related to your diagnosis that way you will be prepared to ask questions at your appointments and you will feel well informed when it comes time to make decisions
Sorry this was a novel but I know I was stuck for ideas when I first started my bedrest--Hope this gives you some ideas to help w/ the boredom!
