IVF anyone?

Hello, I will be starting my 2nd attempt at IVF.. 1st one was canceled before ER so it really wasn't even a great attempt.. LOL

We are tweaking my medication a bit this time.. not using BCP or Lupron.. going to add Ganirelix and something that starts with an "L" (don't have my calendar or ppwk yet).  This time we are going to do a higher dose of STIMS and possibly longer. 

 Last u/s & b/w showed that I have very small ovaries  (R 1.02ml / L 1.38ml) and an AFC of 8, 4 on each side.  My AMH level came back at a 0.3 so that isn't good either but my E2 was at 34 and my FSH at 9.6 (not great but in the avg level section). 

With all that I was just wondering if anyone else was doing IVF in Feb/Mar 2010?

I'm in the 2ww of IVF#1 right now. I did an antagonist luteal phase protocol with Ganirelix and estrogen patches before stimming. I was expected to be a poor responder (poor AF count, AMH, FSH), but ended up with seven eggs retrieved, six mature and five fertilized. We transferred two blasts on day six, but didn't have any make it to freeze.

I am starting my first IVF this month.  I start my stims next week.  I am on BCPs right now.  I am doing the Antagonist Protocol (with Ganirelix).

If everything goes according to plan, the ER/ET will be around my 38th birthday (depends on how long I stim, 3dt vs. 5dt and such).  And hopefully I will be KU by Valentine's Day.

I should be starting attempt #5 in Feb or early March. I've had 2 cancelled and 2 BFN's. I'm skipping all forms of estrogen this round due to over-suppression. Hoping my FSH comes back at an acceptable level to start stims (highest was 11.3). Good luck to you!

Prob starting BCPs the first week of Feb....if not then, we will start the first week of March. Round #3 for us........Good luck!

We are gearing up for a donor cycle for February. I'm about halfway through my mock cycle and have a donor picked out (after much frustration on my part). It's actually kind of nice to just deal with estrogen patches and not a bunch of shots right now. Plus all the donor coordinators keep saying "..when you get pregnant..." as if it were nearly a done deal, which is not what anyone was saying to me back when I was eeking out 2 eggs per cycle. And I will be tickled to find out that my donor probably just needs one syringe of Gonal-F 1050 vs. the 7 or so boxes I needed for each of my past cycles.

We are doing IVF in April/May.  I go next week for my saline sonogram and initial appointment with the RE.

Charbart.. sorry it is taking so long for insurance.. GL on your possible Mar/April cycle.

Marriedasp.. GL on your DE next month... and yeah.. I got the same talk when they discussed DE with DH and I.. but we decided to give it a try one more time with my own eggies.  Praying that they are all right and you do get PG this go around.

Babsie.. waiting on ANYTHING stinks when you are TTC... hope insurance picks up soon and you can get on the IVF Train with all of us soon.

Susanne... GL on your saline appt next week and the upcoming April/May IVF cycle..

AFM.. I am still waiting for AF to show which should be in a couple of weeks.. the only thing that I am dreading is possible ER on my son's 5th b-day and I want to give him a super big party this time since it is his 5th.. you know??? But I have a great DH and bestie that will help.

Good luck with the IVF. I'm not sure if I'll be doing it in March or April we still have 2 more months of tryin gon our own.
