hey-
I wanted to ask you about your Jane stroller. I found it on amazon, and I am curious how your kids fit in it height wise? also are the seats really close to eachother, as in the back child can kick and annoy the front one? Are the canopies nice, do they cover a lot? can you put a newborn comfortably in it? How's the fold?
Sorry for all the ?'s, Ive been looking at it and would love to see it in person, or even a video...but I cant find one.
thanks!!
Re: harrietNJ
No problem. The only bad part about the Jane is that the canopies are short. My girls are average height, and fit in it no problem. You can buy other canopies to put on (I think Kidopotomus?), but I never bought them. I make do with the stroller as is.
My DS who sits in the back LOVES to pull DD#2's hair! LOL! He's just a brute that way.........so, to answer your question, yes, the kid in the back can kick and annoy the kid in the front, but I haven't really had that issue.
The fold is VERY easy. You pull on these two "thingies" on the handlebars, and fold it together and it clicks shut.
I really love this stroller. Other than the short sunshades, I have no issues with it. It is compact, pushes like a dream, and the kids love it......in fact, my older daughter wants to ride in it! LOL!
If you have large kids though (like 95% height and weight), the stroller may be too compact for you.
It's a european stroller, so it's a lot more streamlined than say, a Graco double.........
GL in your stroller search! There's really no perfect double, just one that fits into your lifestyle........
Thank you so much. I wish I could see it in person. DS is in the 75 percentile for height, and weight hes only about 35, so I dont know if it will work for us height wise.
can you put a little newborn in it? does it go pretty flat?
I do like the streamlined idea, and I understand that if I want more room it will be bigger and bulkier. Its a hard choice.
Have you traveled with it? we do a fair amount of flying up north and I need something that will go with us easily, I dont want to have to buy a maclaren double or something-I hate them.
Thanks again! I hope the weaning is going well and you are getting your body back to yourself!
We are down to once a day, and I am enjoying the freedom and the fact that I can wear a regular bra again, LOL. Yet its still hard to let go =(
It doesn't go full flat. It goes I think around 80% flat. DD#2 and DS never had issues with laying in it as newborns. I would sometimes swaddle them and strap them in (my kids love being swaddled).
I've only travelled with it driving. I REFUSE to get on a plane with 3 kids! LOL! Too much gear right now - in the future, we'll get on planes, but not now.
I have a Maclaren double that I HATE!!!! It's my spare stroller and I've used it about 3 times. I'm looking to sell it now. Such a waste of money for us.
Weaning is going slowly. I still have 3 nursing sessions per day - I'll get there!
Well thanks for all the info again!
We are getting there with weaning too, and have been doing it real slow...which I think is best for both of us
take care and thanks again!
