Nurseries and Baby Gear

hanging curtains question

I have curtains for the LO's nursery that I have yet to hang.  As is, they are 83" long and hit the wall right near the top of the baseboard if I were to hang them a couple inches above the window (which has wooden blinds on it already so I cant hang the curtains flush with the top of the window). So my options are: leave them as is hitting the top of the baseboard, take out the 3 inch hem to make the curtain hit the floor,  or have them cut to hang a few inches below the window. I can't seem to make a decision these days to save my life!

Anyone have advice on what they would do in this situation?

Re: hanging curtains question

  • If they won't be in the way of anything, I'd leave them as is.  Having them slightly off the floor will make it easier for cleaning the nursery (vaccuming, finding lost toys, etc)

Agreed.  Ours are the same way and I left them...they look fine and it's nice for vacuuming.

  • I would also leave them as is.  DD's curtains hit the baseboard and I really like the way they look.
