although i think it is dangerous to have my kids' names emblazoned on their backpacks and luggage; i didn't think about this when i ordered it and had them mongrammed with full first name.
i should really get new ones with no names but they are so so cute.
they will definitely get new ones when they are school age.
Re: confession - flameful
My DD goes to a public school and has her name on her backpack also however we walk her door to door (from our home to her classroom door and back). We live really close to our school and so do our neighbors who would also know if someone else was talking to DD (however she isn't left alone so its not an issue).
i am obviously conflicted about this... here's my thought. Some child predators plan there attacks/abductions. For those that do, being able to see a child's name on their backpack allows that predator to call the child by name at a future time. Perhaps a time when parent is not there. So even though my children are too young to be alone when they are going to school or using their luggage - technically some perv could be watching my house as i load them and their school gear into the car and then snatch my kids some other day when they are playing and i have my back turned for 2 seconds. i have no idea what the stats are - it is just a horrible thought i had when not sleeping last night.
I agree 100%
Me too.
