As in, when did you settle into a routine with both kids, when did LO #1 accept the new baby, etc.?
I'm still in panic mode wondering how we're gonna work all this out! I feel like we just got everything down pat with DD and now we're turning everything upside down again.
Re: When did things get comfortable?
We by no means have it figured out, but I am just now getting in to a daily routine. DH only could take 3 days off when DS2 came home, so it was a bit of trial by fire, but we got it!
There is a bit more of a survival mode going on her than ever before! If he sleeps in the swing, that is where we leave him. I feel like the time has flown too, so try to enjoy it.
Ours are about 19 months apart, so it has been rough!
Probably around a month. DD2 is very laid-back. We started her on the EASY routine (from the Baby Whisperer book) right away and it's been going great! She can already put herself to sleep (drowsy but awake) for naps and we're in a great routine. Sure, it's still changing a lot.. but overall, it's been very smooth.
I was really worried as well. But instead of DD2 turning our world into chaos (like DD1 did. LOL), she just kind of slipped right into the family and life continued on as it was before + an extra person
By 3 weeks, we were already back at all of DD1's activities (playgroups, library story times, Gymboree, etc..) pretty easily.

I would say 2.5 months- when #2 started to engage more with watching me and #1 play. Rather than needing to be held all the time, and/or having hour long crying spells, he just became more content to sit in his swing or whatever and watch or play with a rattle. It's been SO much better. FWIW, neither one of our boys is laid back or good sleepers and it is still worlds easier now than it was the first couple of months. They are 19 mo apart.
