I'm not going to breastfeed anyway...but I was just curious.... I used to have my nipple pierced. I removed it like five years ago, but do you think that would impact the ability to BF?

All I can say is OUCH!!!

lol, but I seriously have no idea! Probably not.. since milk does not just come out of the "nipple" it sometimes leaks out of the areola too.. but who knows.. your scar from the piercing may prevent milk from coming out of that area??

I had mine for about 2 years and took them out shortly after my BFP. From both my OB and my piercer: they shouldn't hinder breastfeeding at all.

I have the same question. I'm going to ask my dr when I see her next week.

My sister had hers pierced and ended up not being able to BF due to excess scar tissue.  She was VERY disappointed.
