So the planner in me is "planning ahead" for Jackson's wardrobe and I picked up plain white 18 month onesies last week. Now I'm wondering if Jackson will even be wearing them?
I just bought some short-sleeve 18 mo onesies the other day, on the assumption that he'll still be wearing them at least this spring (he's in 12 mo now).
The bigger the kid gets, the harder it is to change their butts and/or their clothes without them wiggling about! We stopped using onesies for the most part around 9-12m with both kids. Shirts are so much easier!
We still use them at 2 years old but DD has really bad dry skin and will scratch herself raw if she doesn't have a onsie on. If she didn't have the skin issue I probably would have phased them out around 18 months.

This. Although Megan potty-trained at 22 months and showed interest prior to that. So they wounldn't have worked for us then.

Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.

This exactly!!! DS is NEVER without a onesie. He's in 24 month ones now and I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. Do you think they make them in 5T?!?
I put Emma in long-sleeved onesies underneath her short sleeved ones a lot because it's been cold. I hate onesies because they're kind of a hassle, but she can't get them off and I can layer her better with them on. Plus she just learned to take her pants off, but I notice that when she's in a onesie, she doesn't seem to want to take her pants off.
Yes, mostly as PJs with pants over them... but M is a big girl and was probably wearing 18mnth onesies at a year old. She still wears them for PJs a lot, so if nothing else you could use them for that. And like Preston said they're also good for layering underneath clothes (we do that mostly for warmth, not diaper butt, although that's funny!)
YES YES YES. Bri, Jackson and Max seem to be on the same growth chart. Max is 9 months old and is wearing 12-18 month onesies now. He wears 12 month Carter's plain white onesies, but I have a feeling he will definately be in 18 month onesies in 3 months. You should be right on track for Jackson.

YES! I like that they stay tucked in. We have them in 24 months too! I'd still have A wearing them except then she cab't get dressed herself...So now we have the camisole tank stle undershirts.

well, i wrote before reading and neither of my kids is never without a onsie or cami T for A just in the past 2 months. I seriously would buy them if they came in 5T! lol Heck, I used to have one myself years bak when they were en vogue. lol
Both of mine still wear them and are in 18 Carter's now. Audrey still does great with diaper changes but Ryan is a pill. Sometimes I only get one snap for him but I'm terrified he will undo his diaper without them.

We use them as undershirts. I don?t like the diaper peeking out from the top of the pants.
But they make it more difficult to check if it?s a toot or the real deal.

I totally used 18 month onesies - I loved having them when he was that age so he didn't have diaper butt crack hanging out.
I never planned that far ahead though. I wasn't sure which season which size would work for.
LOL! I totally wore bodysuits in high school. Tight jeans, a body suit and a flannel tied around my waist. Hawt.
