generic formula (target brand) causing constipation?

we switched DD to Enfamil Gentlease about a month ago and it really helped with her gas...and if anyone has a baby on gentlease you know the poohs are kind of gross, probably because it's easier to digest.  well, we recently switched her to the target brand of enfamil gentlease and she seems to be constipated since making the switch.  her poohs are so hard and this morning her little butt was bleeding from it (  has anyone else had this issue?  do you think i should just switch her back to the enfamil or try another generic brand?

I posted about switching from Gentlease to Up & Up last week and several people said their LO's switched over without any issues.  I was going to make the switch later today.  Hopefully someone else will weigh in with their experience.

We use the up & up brand of Similac Isomil Advance and she spits up alot. This weekend we used the ready to use name brand formula since we were at the cabin and i didnt want to deal with having bottles of water and she didnt spit up once. Her poop has also been way runnier. With the Up & Up its morel like guacamole(sorry, tmi). I think the spit up is because its way more broke down with the ready to use, and easier to digest. Im switching to it when i am done with my can. But till then, i am going to try and pre-mix it hope it breaks down more by the time i feed her.
