MIL asked if my email address was the same as it used to be.  It is, but I get so much junk email to it that I don't check it as much as my professional one.  DH knows this, and gave her my professional email.  Now she sends me multiple forwards a day.  Nothing like hearing your phone go off 10 times a day because your MIL has nothing better to do than send around pictures of cute animals.

Go straight to the MIL. Tell her to knock it off!

Tell her you aren't allowed to use your business email for non business things so she needs to send them to the other email address.

Yeah, I would let her know that your work email is professional and not to be used for the cutesy animals, jokes and whatnot that aunts, moms and grandma's send.

haha!!  my DH did the same thing, and that was ALL she ever sent me!!! so annoying!

I agree...this is why I'm glad my MIL doesn't even know how to turn on a computer. She's would be annoying like that.

Thanks ladies.  It's not actually my work email, thank goodness.  It's just a personal email address I put on resumes.  So it's not necessarily a professional email addy, but I don't give it out freely, if that makes sense.  MY DH has it as well as a few select friends.  I have it attached to my phone so that if anyone needs to get a hold of me, they can. 

I think she might have had a honest question and that's why he gave it to her.  It's just an annoyance more than anything.

Is there anyway to block her? I know it sounds terrible but I feel your pain.  I had the same thing happen at my job w/ a family member.  It's crazy and uncalled for.  GL

Uh my MIL did this to me. She told DH that she didn't like the e-mail address I had given her because it was my childhood nickname and not very adult. DH gave her my other e-mail that I give out to parents and other teachers that I work with. Now I get all those stupid chain letters mixed in with updates for staff meetings and parent teacher conferences.  It is so annoying.
