Concerns related to laptops on the lap?

My mom worries about radiation from electronics. She's always lecturing me on keeping my laptop on my lap. My mayo clinic book says that there's been some research on this, but that it showed no ill-effects on the fetus. However, it also says that, if you worry about it, that you should keep your computer at an arm's length. 

Have you heard anything about this?

I've not heard of anything specific or scientific, but I was just thinking about this yesterday while cooking my crotch with my laptop. Things can get uncomfortably warm sometimes with it on your lap and I do know that a hot laptop can encourage a yeast infection, so for that reason alone I'm going to try to be cautious. I have this platform that I can use on my lap that allows for airflow under the LT and it keeps your bits cool. I picked it up at Target but I've seen them elsewhere too.
