I am a clueless 2nd time mom. The first time around, I was induced, and the contractions were super bad after my water broke. But I also had back labor.
I was due yesterday, and I have been having contractions, but tonight they have picked up in intensity.
For at least the past hour, maybe more, I have been having pretty strong contractions about 7-10 minutes apart. I have also had to go to the bathroom several times. They are in my back pretty bad.
I live at least 45 minutes away from the hospital, and my Dr. told me to call her when they are 10-15 minutes apart. As of last Wednesday, I was not dilated or effaced.
How long should I wait before I call her?
Re: Contractions--when to go to hospital...
Considering this is your second child and the distance you live from the hospital I would call now. There's a reason your OB said to call when they are 10-15 mins. apart.
Good luck; hope this is it for you!
If your doctor said to call when you are 10-15 minutes apart and you are contracting every 7-10 minutes, I would call her now.
Good luck!!
