Crying while changing clothes

Our LO just started screaming while we change her clothes, like literally screaming to the point of almost turning purple.  Nothing has changed physically, I felt around her when she quiets down and she doesn't seem to be hurting anywhere.  Any ideas what to do or has this happened to anyone recently?

Re: Crying while changing clothes

  • our LO screams 90% of the time when we change her diaper and change her clothes....i am hoping this will calm down in time!

She probably just doesn't like being changed.  My toddler still has fits half the time when I change her.

I grew up in Brighton and I have family in Greece Smile

  • That's pretty typical at that age and there's really not a lot you can do about it. Just try to talk to her and reassure her while you're changing her.
  • DS screams/cries whenever we change his clothes or diaper, but he's done that since day one.

  • This is usually the only time LO cries. He just doesn't like it. Maybe she's just cold?
  • DD would scream ever.single.time we changed her clothes or diaper.  It's gradually getting better. Now she only screams about 25% of the time.

  • thanks girls, its good to know i'm not alone, and hopefully there will be some sort of end in sight.

Iris  - small world!   When did you move out of Rochester? Where are you now?

  • Yes there is an end in sight!  DS used to cry pretty much everytime we changed his diaper and his clothes.  He is a little older and I guess has gotten used to things.  It is definitely much better.

  • Same here.  I try to put music on while i change her because that seems to comfort/distract her a bit.
