Pack n Play - do I need a sheet?

We were planning to have our baby sleep in our room in the pack n play bassinet for the first few months. Do you use a sheet in the pack n play? If so, does it come with one? What about any other sort of mattress?

Thanks!

  • Yes, you need a sheet.  I suggest you buy the extra padded ones.  The regular ones are too think IMO.
  • Yes, you need a sheet and nothing else. It does not come with one.
  • I would get a couple because I don't think they come with any.

This is what we plan on too.

  • Sheets are a good option. I also used the thin receiving blankets.
  • Like everyone said - yes you need some and no they don't come with any.  I like the quilted ones a little better just because they're padded and it makes the pnp a little softer.  We have 4 regular ones and 2 quilted ones.  Between the spit-up and diaper explosions, you change it fairly often.  Even without either of those, you change the sheets often enough to need at least 2 or 3 sets.
  • We are getting one. They are 9.99 at Babies R Us - and the 20% off sale starts on Friday (with coupon)!
  • We bought two fitted sheets, and will probably buy a padded/waterproof one to go under the regular sheet.

  • No, you don't need sheets. I've only had experience with the Graco ones, but they have padded cloth bottoms - and we never used a sheet with it for my nephew. We have the little hoot Graco and we're not using a sheet for the bassinet or regular portion (they have the same bottom).
