Here's my DD the day after she was born:

 

Hey, did you deliver at NYU?  We have the same hat and blankets...

LOL, that's so funny. But no, I delivered at Lenox Hill hospital.

I think 90% of the hospitals in the US have those hats and blankets.  I delivered in St. Louis and we had the exact same ones.

DD was about 4 hours old:

Wow - her hair really got a lot lighter when compared with your siggy pic! My younger DS' hair keeps getting lighter. It was really dark at birth. Now it is still brown, but a much lighter brown.

All of her hair fell out when she was about 15 weeks old! She only had 4 long strands on the top of her head!!! When it grew back it was blonde! I couldn't believe she had dark hair when she was born. When they brought her to me (I had to be put to sleep for an emergency c/s), I was like, "are you sure this is my baby?" lol. My hair was pretty much white when I was little.

I delivered at Mo Bap in StL and we had those.  I didn't  know you were a StL girl!

Did anyone not have a custom hat?

I found ours the other day and cried a little bit. It was at the back of his sock drawer. And tinnnnnny. 

We didn't find out the sex, so we didn't have a customized one. I did take the one from the hospital - it was an adorable knit white and yellow one. It's sooo small! DS's piggy bank is currently wearing it.
