I tried calling our counties safe kids program to find out when/where car seat inspection locations were. I must have called Tues or Wed of last week. I haven't yet received a call back from the one person the website gives a name and number for and the program for the county doesn't have a website so it is just a national website, it only gives a name and phone of this one guy, who apparently doesn't answer or return phone calls.
The next county near us is actually in NC but is only 30-45 minutes away but it is still a different state. They have an actual website with a calendar of inspection times and dates. DH and I were wanting to have the car seat installed the end of next month and checked by this program. I want to go to the NC one but am not sure they would let us since we live in a different state. It is free and you don't need an appointment, you just have to get there early.
Do you think they would have an issue with inspecting our car seat with us not being from either the county or even the state that the inspection center is in?
Re: Do you think they will turn me down?
I am really not sure, I didn't even think about the requirements being different! I wouldn't think they are different though.
