I just found out yesterday that I'm pregnant and due in Sept-- I'll still be seeing my RE for a while, but will then "graduate" to a regular ob/gyn.
I don't really like the doctor I've been seeing for my yearly appointments the past few years and definitely want to find a new doctor with an amazing bedside manner who delivers at St. Vincent's.
Any suggestions? Thanks!!
Re: Recommend your ob/gyn!
I go to Dr. DeRosier at St. Vincents-she was recommended to me by a close friend who loves her, and I went to her for the first time for my last annual. I really liked her.
This is the website for that office-https://obgynal.com/
I go here at st. v's and have seen 3 doctors: smith, przybyzs, and fowlkes (but he's just gyn) https://www.birminghamobgyn.com/
From other people, I have heard that most others in the practice are very nice! Congrats!!
Thank you all!!!
My RE was Dr. Beth Malizia at Alabama Fertility Specialists. I really like her-- great bedside manner!
I also go to Birmingham OB/GYN. My doc is Damrich and I really like him. I also seen Dr. Przbyzs and another lady doc whose name escapes me at the moment. They were both great as well. Can't say enough good things about this practice.
Two very close friends of mine just delivered with Dr. Goolsby....of Sharp & Stone OB/GYN. They are located at St. Vincent's downtown. I am about to switch to him as well!! There are only three doctors in their practice...so you get very familiar with each one![:) :)](https://forums.thebump.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I like small practices. With larger practices like Henderson & Walton...you have to rotate through so many docs...and you never know which of the 13 OB's in the practice will be on call if you go into labor! Not to say there are not plenty of good OB's in the practice. It's just too large for me!
Congrats again!
I love Dr. Davis at Birmingham OB/GYN. I've also seen Dr. Damrich there when I had to go in for an emergency and he was very nice as well. It's a great practice and they're located in St. Vincent's
