Pains when coughing

A few weeks ago I noticed that whenever I cough or sneeze it hurts right in my abdomen area.  I read online that it's normal and is due to the sensitive muscles due to the uterus constantly growing.  I guess I was okay with that answer but will certainly check with my dr when I go next week.  Just wanted to know if anyone else has felt that.  It's kind of a like a sharp pain but only lasts a second or two and only when I cough hard or sneeze. 

I don't know how to do any of the fancy tickers but I'm 15 weeks with my first baby.

round ligament pain...it happens to me too sometimes.

I have been having the same sensation.  It is normal and due to muscels.  I am right there with you.

It doesn't happen all the time, but there are definitely times when sneezing or coughing hurts.

Yes this happens to me at times also and the Dr. says its normal.  It really happened more in the first tri than now in my second.  Good Luck

I've been having a nagging cough now for two weeks.  Trust me I know what you are saying!  The best thing to do is bend a little and hold your belly.  This helps me.  Sneezing and coughing is definately no fun prego.

Happens whenever I sneeze!

I get RLP when I cough, sneeze, and turn or reach in a funny way.  It sucks, and I've had a bunch of it today.  It's totally normal, but it's still disconcerting, isn't it?  DH keeps saying, "Oh, it's good, the baby is growing!"

Wow, thank so much everyone.  So helpful!  And even though I certainly don't wish this coughing pain on anyone it certainly puts my mind at ease to know its not just me or something bad.  How come I haven't read anything about it in any of the books??
