Do shelters accept open diapers?

I have donated to several shelters in the area before but never diapers. I called this afternoon and the person I needed to speak with was not in.

Do shelters typically take opened packs of diapers ?

I hope so. I was wondering the same thing, though. I have to call the one near me because I have some size 1 diapers we didn't get to.

That never even crossed my mind, great suggestion! My church has a large baby room and they are always looking for donations...duh.

I was wondering what we can do with our diapers that we never got into. Someone mentioned that Target and Walmart take anything back, but I would much rather donate them. Great idea!!!

I called a womens shelter in my area and they do take opened packages of diapers, I was told the only thing open that they dont take is food items but they take things like baby lotion, bath gel, powder etc. I thought that was odd but I have some opened baby bath products that I have never even used because the smell bothers my allergies so I was glad to hear they will take them because I hated to waste stuff that hadnt even been used.
