Costco Formula?

Anyone use it? What is it equivalent to in terms of name brand formula?

DH and I just got a membership and although the girls are still getting my milk (I EP), I want to slowly introduce formula to them soon. They tolerate Enfamil Gentle Ease and Similac Sensitive....but hoping to find a generic that can work, too!

Thanks

Re: Costco Formula?

  • We used it after I stopped EP when they were about 4-5 wks old (I dried up).  I think Costco and Sams Club has a gentle kinda too.  I feel it's the exact same as the expensive stuff and you get a huge can for about the same amount of $ as the name brand stuff.
  • We use it and have been using it since my LOs were about 7 weeks old. They are doing very well on it, and it compares almost exactly to the name brands, but it is SO much cheaper. And when you're feeding multiple mouths formula can get expensive. I would recommend it.

  • Ana was using it for awhile and it worked great. Once Elise came off Neosure we tried to transition her over to Costco and it made her spit up for some reason. I tried several very slow introductions and it just didn't work so now we use Target Up & Up which seems to work fine.

Either way, I think generic is the way to go!

We used it for quite a while, although i can't remember when we started.  It is much, much cheaper than the name brands and it seemed to work just as well.  From what I've heard, the Costco formula is equivalent to Similac Advance.  That's what we switched from with no problems.

  • My twins did quite well on it! ;) Ask me if I could use it for my little one-NOPE! Had to have a milk-based, lactose free formula. ;) She was probably more expensive feeding than my twins the first year!
  • At about 3 months we switched from Similac Advanced to Costco and we had no problems at all, we saved a TON of money too.
