That Photography workshop GTG
The holidays are over!
Lets decide on a time frame on when to do this!
No more clicky polls because I obviouslly fail at them, but just reply with a general date (Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays)...
To anyone who isn't privvy to this, I'm hosting a "learn to use your DSLR camera!" g2g, and anyone else who wants to share some intellect can do the same! I'm going to try and host it in two locations: one in the Seattle Area, and on in the Tacoma area.
One of our bumpies has generously donated her Studio to work in (Tacoma area) so if anyone has a place to set up in Seattle, that would be great!
I'm going to x-post this to the Seattle Parents group, since they'll probably enjoy and we can get a bigger turn-out!

This is FOR rookies! If you own a DSLR (or any camera if you want, but I have a lot of experience working with DSLRs) and never really knew how the buttons worked, or always shoot in "Automatic", then this is for you!

Well I do have a flickr account...everyone is more than welcome to check it out. I don't do model work, I'm more a nature/architecture photographer.
I haven't done much since we move to Washington, mostly because of Moving/Holidays. But now that its a new year and we're settled in, I can focus on photography more.
I guess I kinda wanted this to be more of a no pressure/learn the basics of handling your DSLR, maybe a little pod action (i have a tri and mono i'll be bringing), and maybe a couple situations on how to get certain effects like Night Shots, Sunsets, Bokeh, and Depth-of-Field.
And this is a everyone-helps-everyone g2g, I'm not going to be hogging the center stage! You are more than welcome to bring your knowledge and experience and help out!

I have a studio set up I can bring in the Seattle area, I just dont have space to set it up and have room for lots of ppl. I have a 4 light and background kit as well as a flash set up I can show how to use and black and white backgrounds.
I am working on a new site so it just goes to my blog that has not been updated in a long while with some weddings and a maternity shoot if you want to take a look JLDImagery.com

Oh so glad I checked in I've been thinking about this. I'm for sure interested. It's my goal to figure out my camera in April it will be a year since I got it and still don't know anything about it. Weekend days works best if its an evening I'd have to bring baby if thats allowed. He's real good I promise!
