We've been having some duct work done for the past 2 days. The person doing the work for us is a friend of a friend. The guy has been super nice--DD has spent quite a bit of time watching him work and they have lovely conversations and sing Christmas carols together. He seems to really like my DD and he keeps complimenting me on how well behaved and how smart she is.
About 20 minutes after he left our house this evening, he called my DH's cell phone (only number he has for us) and asked if he could bring his DD over to play when he comes to finish up in the morning. His daughter is just a bit younger than mine and he said she doesn't have many opportunities to make friends and he would love for for his daughter to make a friend as nice as my DD.
I would normally think this was just someone looking for a free babysitter but he has just been so nice, I really think he is being sincere about wanting our kids to become friends.
