We found one on craigslist right before Christmas based on Goldie's rec.  I'm glad you like it too!

DD likes it, but she hasn't ridden in the captain's chair yet.

A cool thing about the toddler seat - it is table height- so if  you are out and about and then going to eat - you can pull the stroller right up to the table and the toddler is right where he needs to be.

we have done this twice - at a fair and at the shore

This is what we have. We gave it a test run w/ DS just sitting in one of the seats and we loved it. Haven't used it fully funtional yet , obviously. I hope he likes the toddler chair. Good to know it's table height though!

thanks for the review. we have the single trimode - bought it when i was pg with DD with the intent of buying the toddler seat when #2 came along.... well now we're pregnant with twins so that plan went out the window! was wondering if the double trimode was worth the heft price tag. you have convinced me! hopefully i can recoup some of the cost by selling my single.
