Guys I am probably super paranoid and crazy, but is it safe to sit on the couch with the lap top on my lap while I watch tv...does this have any affect on the baby? I am thinking probably not, but while I sit here I am starting to get worried.
DH laughs because I am not paranoid about much re: this pregnancy, but I was paranoid about this. I lay down and put the laptop on my belly, so Dh bought me one of these.

I have always worried about this too... but I don't think there is much to it. I am sad to think about it not fitting soon... how will I pass the time?
I think, that just as everything else, your body will tell you when you have reached a limit. You will know you are getting overheated and become uncomfortable well before you harm your baby.
It can't be any worse than putting your cell phone up to your head...haha, I would think that if the laptop runs hot consistently and its up against ur stomach, that might be bad. I thought u were crazy at first, but the more I think about it, the more I wonder the same thing!
I was also worried about this. I asked my Dr. weeks ago and she confirmed it was totally safe and nothing to worry about.
Miscarriage at 17 weeks. Our baby girl went to Heaven on 4.3.08.
Miscarriage at 5 weeks in July 2008.
Miscarriage at 4 weeks in June 2009.
Delivered Baby #4 on 2.23.10. Our baby girl had Triploidy.
TWIN BOYS BORN 12.20.10
I'm peeping over from 3rd tri because I read all the new posts over there.
Anyway, I still sit the laptop on my legs (it fits!) and the only thing I have noticed throughout my pregnancy is that they baby HATES it. He always kicks at it and goes crazy when it gets too close and pushes on my tummy.

Don't worry (:
YAY! Can't wait for the baby to communicate with me
