FPs - WWYD?

I just googled my foster children's BM in hopes of finding a pic of her for their life book (i have no contact with her) and came across some important information related to my FS and money he may be entiled to when he's 18. 

I'd like to pass this info along to his SW, but now it feels like i was snooping (i wasn't, it was literally the first link that popped up on google).  for his benefit i know i have to pass along the info - but do i need to brace myself for a negative reaction? do you think my google-ing her will be deemed inappropriate by the SW?

I don't really know the answer but I would think anything you found out on the internet is in the public domain anyway.  We found out stuff about our BP just by pure happenstance and told the SWs.  They seemed to be glad of the information.  I think if you hired a private investigator  or stalked them yourself they might think that was too much.

P.S.  The SW should be givnig you pics of BP for the life book IMHO.

If you were given her full name, then I don't think it is a big deal to call the cw and tell you what you found.

If you got her full name by some "investigating" yourself, then I think that might be hard to handle.

I have done lots of googling, but I have only found bad stuff.

I think it is probably common practice that FPs google

i was given her full name, so i'm above-board on that! 

And yeah, i figured it was common practice....just not quite sure if it was acknowledged

Just be honest with the SW and tell her exactly what you were doing, and that you stumbled upon it.
