IC problems

Hi there. I usually post on GP, but I wanted to ask you ladies, because of my IC, if you had any spotting before your BFP?

I ask because I went into pre-term with my DD and should have had a cerclage, but according to my doc's, didn't need one.  In hindsight, of course, they told me one might have been helpful.  Anyway, I have been spotting (bright red/brown spotting) for 4 days now and this isn't normal for me. Do you think it might be related to an IC, and if so, might I still be pg?

I realize this post my be flameworthy and I plan to take an HPT sometime today, but in the meantime, any advice you could offer is greatly appreciated.

Re: IC problems

  • Spotting before a BFP is not related to IC.

IC complications usually start occurring around 16-18 weeks.

If you were to get a preventative cerclage it would probably be placed around weeks 12-14.

I have IC and a permanent transabdominal cerclage in place and I start cervix checks on Monday at 15 weeks (every 2 weeks).
