wth - tornado sirens are going off

It is bitterly cold here, only to get colder. I'm thinking this is a test ... I just don't remember them doing that in January.

They only do testing on Saturday at noon where we live (and they do them in the winter as well).  Maybe there was a glitch?

could they be testing them? they do that here. of course ours did go off last month b/c we were having severe weathe. crazy alabama weather.

The only reason I know it is always a Wed. thing is my office sits right outside one of the big alarms, so I always hear it the 1st Wed. of the month. I am so not ready for more snow, it is making this former Texan grouchy!

Yup.  It's Wednesday down here too.  Not sure if it's the first Wednesday or what Wednesday, but it's Wednesday at noon.  We don't hear them out in BFE, but I've heard them a few times if we were out and about at lunchtime.

Hi scuba! I can't call myself a Kansan b/c the 1st Wed. at noon thing should be common knowledge then!

I'm excited. Not really nervous. Well, I had a nice little panic attack at 2 in the a.m. 2 nights ago but for now, I'm good. I will be very happy to regain SOME control over my emotions.
