FIL's best friends growing up were "Pug" and "Bug-eye." (You have to say them with a heavy southern accent. "Pug" sounds more like "Poog" with a spitty P.)
My bestfriend calls Mason "bubs." It irks me to no end and I've told him over and over his name is not Bubs! But, who am I to change the speaking habits of someone nicknamed "Duck."
There is a couple at our church (old) named Tootie and Couch.

Re: S/O: Redneck Nicknames
I know enough Bubbas to choke a mule.
Know a chick nicknamed "Tootie." True story.
::headdesk::
Does she own Tootie's Flowers in Shreveport? (is that even still there?)
She was my great aunt's cousin's wife (phew!).
Nope! This is a whole different Tootie.
I have heard of Tootie's Flowers, don't know if it's still around though.
I'm thinking it's not still there. I was just there over Christmas and I don't remember seeing it. Ah well. Tootie is a funny name.
Because it makes her sound like she's full of poots! ::giggles::
