Fever of 101 = too high for teething?

DS2 acts like his mouth hurts, but 101 seems too high to be teething to me.

It does seem too high for teething. My youngest had something like this a few weeks ago. She was drooling like crazy but had a fever of 101-103 for three days. A few days later she broke out in a rash-probably Roseola or another virus.

I hope your son feels better soon.

I was told anything above 100.4 is too high for teething.

check his throat with a flashlight..maybe its a sore throat...my kids say their mouth hurts when its their throat sometime.

That's what I'm thinking.    He just finished his third round of antibiotics for an ear infection last week.  I'm thinking they didn't do the trick.

Maybe his ear? When DD had an ear infection, she said that her mouth hurt. It was pressure from the EI that was causing her mouth to her hurt.
