I decided it would just be easier to tell her and if anything happens she would understand why I would need some unexpected time off in our busiest month of the year.
It went really well. I knew she would be super excited and happy for us. She was great about my appointments coming up and really encouraged me to let her know if I needed anything or wasn't feeling well.
I also made an appointment today for my combined screening. February 2 is going to be a huge day - we'll get to see our little bean for the first time at the screening ultrasound and then we'll get to see/hear the heartbeat for the first time at my 12-week appointment. I can't wait!
Thanks for letting me be excited!
Re: Told my boss today
Glad it went well. And I promise it seems so far away, but it will quickly be February.

Okay, so since February 2nd is Groundhog Day, does that mean that if the little Mishbean sees it's shadow, there will be 6 more weeks of winter. But if the little Mishbean doesn't see it's shadow, that means spring is a comin' early??
I vote no shadow. I vote no shadow!!
That is so exciting Misha. And so close. Yay!
The only Easter Bunny I can get behind.

Hahaha. I love you, Katie! I also vote no shadow and have told the bean as much.
Hahahahaha...I love it! I'm now going to refer to Mishbaby as Mishbean.
Congratulations on telling your boss...it's a big step, but once it's done...voila! onto the baby appointments.
And that's awesome you got her support. Nothing makes the work world bearable while pregnant like a supportive boss.
So happy for you!
