LGBT Parenting

Question

I know you guys touch base on the whole co-parenting and legal documents for adoption. And me and the wife was just talking about this today. But is there anyway you can draw up legal paper with a lawyer for it be some type legal protection?  And does anyone have the website for more info.

Re: Question

  • Yes, if your state does not allow second parent adoption you can draw up a legal co-parent agreements.  It's not quite the same protection but it's definitely better than no protection at all.  I don't have specific resources off hand but you should check the HRC website. Also, call your local gay/lesbian center and ask for recommendations of gay/lesbian friendly lawyers.  GL!
