I'm 8 weeks pregnant after being treated by a fertility specialist. he is about to release me and I need to find an OBGYN to deliver my twins. I'm looking for recommendations. Thanks.
aw! congrats on your twins! i would HIGHLY recommend seeing someone at Ochsner (I go to Dr Bird as an OB/GYN, but saw Dr Robichaux with the boys - he's an MFM, so you would see him if you have any complications. And with twins, you WANT to have a good MFM on staff.)
also - i know a couple of other local NOLA women who are pg with twins and they are looking to get in touch with other local women who are pg with twins. let me know if you want their email addresses!
Thanks for the great feedback!! I made an appointment with Dr Perret.-- She was recommended by a friend. I havent met her yet but am optimistic. If she and I dotn fit I heard about Peresi at Ochsner. Could you please explain what a MFM is. And I would love to connect with other pregnant women via email. Thanks again.
What area of the city are you in? I go to East Jefferson for everything. My doctor is Dr. Swing @ Lakeside Women's Specailty Center (which is located in East Jeffereson). Her office consists of her, 4 other female OB/GYNs and a Nurse Practicioner. I love their office. Even the nurses who assist them make you feel like you are the only patient. Good luck! And, congrats on the twins!!!
Dr. Nicole Charbonnet at Ochsner (in practice with Morris') -- she's young, experienced and just had a baby herself! I've gone to her for several years and am thrilled that she'll see me through my pregnancy. she was recommended by a friend several years ago and i am so glad i switched to her!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Perret and her staff. She was wonderful--straightforward, informative, sympathetic and helped me get through some really rough stuff. I highly recommend her.
hem 614- awesome news about the twins. an mfm is a maternal fetal medicine doctor. it is a high risk obgyn. if you have any other questions just post. i am a labor and delivery nurse.
Re: Looking for an OBGYN
I love Dr. George Morris, IV at Ochsner.
Congrats on the twins!
