While tripping over the gate upstairs. He totally forgot it was there and Isabelle went flying out of his arms while I was walking behind him. She smacked the wall, then hit the floor HARD. She has a little cut on her finger and she bit her tongue which was bleeding and dripping on her shirt. I thought she for sure broke something with the way she was screaming, but she calmed down after a few mins and the bleeding stopped.
I'll check her out in the morning, but do you think I should take her to see the doctor? I'm mostly worried that her tongues going to swell up or she's going to get some sort of infection.
My hearts still racing! My poor little girl totally whipped out! DH was freaking out and worried about her teeth. He feels so bad. You can tell they fell hard if the gates broken, right??
Re: DH dropped my baby.....
SCARY!! I wouldn't worry too much about her tongue. Tongues and livers heal really fast, like sci-fi instant heal fast. I hope she's ok, and I hope B isn't too shaken up.
What a crappy day!!

Poor baby! And poor parents! That is scary and im sure Daddy feels like an @ss! Poor guy. I would just double check it in the morning, give her an ice pop or a frozen teether or something if her tounge is swelling it should heal quickly though.
I can totally see this happening to us someday, I have a couple of big dogs that like to get in the way just when you look away. ugh.
Poor Isa! Poor Daddy! Poor Mommy!
I hope everyone's owies and nerves feel better in the morning.
Poor kiddo! I'm glad she calmed down. Ditto the PP's, she should be fine.
Tell him not to feel bad. I slipped after getting out of the shower and dropped Megan, I slipped on the IL's porch and fell with her when she was months old, and DH fell while carrying her
She's tough.
Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.
Crazy how tough kids are - when I think of the things we went through as kids...it's amazing we are all alive.
If she hit her head, I would probably set an alarm for myself and keep checking on her throughout the night. But if it was just her body and she isn't complaining, then I'd count my blessings.
OH NO! I hope they are both ok. I can see me doing this, I am sure i will be triping all over the place, scares the crap out of me!
They make kids really tough I did all kinds of non permanent damage to myself...turned out ok...i think!

Oh no! Poor Doodle! I hope she -- and B -- have a quick recovery.
Poor Isa.

Awww how scary!!!! How is she this morning?
I'm sure B is more traumatized by the fall than Isabelle. When Em fell down the stairs, I lost it and was terrified to hold her the rest of the night. I cried for hours. We went in and saw an urgent care dr. just to be safe. She was more worried about me than Emma.
How is Isabelle doing this morning? Hopefully she and your hubby are feeling better!
Yikes... this made my heart skip a beat!! I hope she's fully recovered today!!
