GD Ladies- When will your doc induce?

Just curious if your doc has indicated if he would let you go past your due date or not.  My numbers have been really good- so my doc had made me make an appointment one week after my due date which surprised me.

Anyone else or does your doc plan to induce you at 40 weeks?

Mine prefers 39 weeks because I am on Humulin at night.

High Risk OB wanted DD taken at 38w for multiple reasons and one big one was GD.  Reg OB refused and she was taken 2d before due date.  This time, my DS will be taken at 38w due to MTHFR and now GD.

My doc told me at my last appointment that at 38 weeks they will do another growth ultrasound to determine her size. I am currently measuring about 2 weeks ahead. She told me that they do not like to induce any earlier than 39 weeks, but they probably won't let me go too far past my due date.

I guess it helps that I have been fluctuating from measuring small to average, so I guess that will play a piece in letting me go a bit longer...

No later than 39.5 weeks depending on LO's size from GD.

If the baby stays under the 90%-tile for weight (he is at 80% right now) ... they will induce me on my due date.

If he hits the 90%-tile for weight (which they seem to think he will) they will schedule a c/s for early in the 39th week.

I will NOT go past my due date no matter what at this point.

For my OB it depended on what the growth scans said from the peri. DD #1 was estimated in the 95-100% each time I had a growth scan. My Dr. induced me @ 38 wks. due to that estimate and she weighed in @ 8 lbs.11oz. If she would've let me go to 40 wks. she likely would have been 10-12 lbs. which would not have afforded me a chance to deliver vaginally.

My doc said she won't let me go much past 40 weeks.  FWIW, I am on Humulin twice a day (6 units each morning/8 units each night) and she has not mentioned that using it would bump up a potential induction for me.  Right now my baby is measuring in the 72% and "normal" for my family (we usually have 8.5 lb babies).
