NO pre-e...........at least not right now!

So, I just got off the phone with my doctor.  She said that my blood work looks good still (I had to go back to L&D last night because my bp was up again......but it was low, of course, by the time I got to L&D so they didn't keep me).  I asked about the "slightly elevated" protein levels in my 24 hour urine sample and she said they were at 240 and need to be at 300 for a pre-e diagnosis.  So that means NO pre-e!!!  But she also said that level was higher than my baseline, so hopefully it was just a fluke thing. She did say that she expects, with the issues that are popping up this early, that I will be on extended bed rest sometime during the pregnancy, will probably need hospitalization at some point, and that she expects the baby to have to be delivered early (she started giving me steroid shots last night).  So, that's pretty scary.  But, I'm wondering if maybe I will be released from bed rest when I actually go in tomorrow since the bp medicine seems to be working for the most part.  DH says that's wishful thinking........

    Be positive! Not sure how high your BP has been but there is always hope!

    I have had PIH since 28 weeks. Labetol since 32 weeks. Positive protien since 33 weeks.  I have not been put on bedrest at all. Just off of work. Baby is still growing and moving good! I do weekly NST's and monitor my BP. My highest is 160/88.

    Right now we are planning induction for 39 weeks if I stay a good patient and baby is healthy!
