I'm planning on selling at the Kids Exchange. Has anyone ever sold there before? How succesful were you?
Also not sure about pricing for clothes. How much would you sell clothes for? Shirts? Pants? Sleepers? Shoes? A lot of what we have is Carter's.
Re: Selling at Consignment Sales
I have consigned before but not at this sale. Its a process that you have to weigh the pros and cons. At the time I had a lot of baby stuff to get rid of so I knew I could bring in some big money and a lot of new with tags boutique clothes as well. Some of the perks...you get first dibs at all the private sales, which is HUGE in my books. You can volunteer and usually get in pre private sale and get money towards your purchases (Im not that die hard). Ill consign again, and I have two boxes full of clothes already that I need to start sorting for the spring sale. Price it at what you would pay for it. Mark the items for discount too. I saw a lot of people who had nice clothes overpriced and not marked for discount on the discount days. You wont make any money if you arent willing to part with it for what you would realisitcally pay for it. Not what you think someone should pay for it because little johnny wore it home hospital.
PS Zip ties can be found a lowes, home depot, big lots, etc.
We have zip ties from Lowes, and I already bought the card stock. It's the metal hangers that throw me off. Do I seriously call the dry cleaner and ask for free hangers??
I just read their list -- that seems umm...well....a bit much in prep work. In the ones I consign in you can use any type hanger, the zip ties are only for shoes not for tags on clothes! You pin the tags to the clothes.
I've saved the hangers from what I bought from them in the past, to use for future sales. I didn't know they had rules though - - I just saved them so I wouldn't have to someday use my own nicer ones, or buy them. I have NO idea where you'd buy metal ones!
You can also try looking on craigslist to find hangers....that is where my bff found hers last year.?
