Need sleep/BFing help for 6mo!

Santa took my awesome baby and left me with a fighter. She is so distracted lately that feeding her in a dark quiet room has even been challenging (not to mention the challenge of finding a dark quiet room for every feeding). I'm almost certain that it has nothing to do with my milk either since it still seem plentiful.

I believe her feeding issues are also leading to her FIGHTING me for all naps/bedtimes. She gets herself all worked up when she sees her crib and wont let us rock her or even let me nurse her. She still seems tired at the same times so I can't imagine that it's a schedule change. She also is fine laying down for play so I don't think it's an ear infection or anything teething related.

I'm pretty anal about sleep habits so I'd like to stay away from solutions like us putting her in our bed, or rocking/bottle feeding her to sleep, etc. A little CIO helps tire her out but I'm not a fan of leaving her for too long. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated if you've been through this yourself!

  • oh god, T. I'm so sorry you're having sleep issues. Sophia was the worst sleeper. the amazing miracle blanket helped some, but other than that it was just time that helped us.

I hope someone has some good tips for you.

love the new picture! what beauties you have.

you need to email me. I lost your email address.

  • What is she eating for solids? Has that changed recently? She may be getting too full on solids and isn't hungry enough to take the time to nurse. Could there be something you or she ate recently that's upsetting her tummy?

  • Thanks girls. She's had some fruits and veggies but nothing regular. I think she's just too distracted during the day with Mia around. The sleep could be more separation anxiety related. She's such a mama's girl. It's pretty frustrating.
