BFN still no AF????

hi everyone-

this is my first time posting here (or anywhere for that matter). AF is 2 days late now, i tested yesterday, negative. im usually really regular cycles- 28 days or 29 the most. never more than that. dont feel any AF symptoms at all except feel really bloated. any advice? just wondering if any of you ladies have experienced this?

While your periods may seem "regular" it is very normal to ovulate late, therefore causing your period to be late. Give it another week then test again.

Random longer cycles happen all of the time. Sometimes stress can delay ovulation and with the holidays thrown into the mix there have been a lot of questions like this lately.

The rule of thumb is to just keep testing every week or so and if you reach CD60 with no period, call your doctor.

(and I'm sure everyone else will chime in that the only way to know if you ovulated would be to chart your BBT)

Without charting, ovulation may have been delayed this month, thus, your period may or may not be late. Test once a week until you get a BFP or AF has been absent for 60 days. If she has not come and you're still getting BFNs at 60 days, call your doctor. If you are coming off of birth control, it can take up to a year for your period to regulate.

Are you TTC? It could be a number of things, need to poop, toot, stress is pushing AF off.

It is possible you ovulated late. Even ladies with really regular cycles can have an off cycle or two. You just need to play the waiting game. Test every week until you get a positive or AF shows. GL!

yeah i usually have 28-30 day cycles...last month I had a 35 day cycle, i never have cycles that long but did last month. All depends when you O.

Click "My bump" in the upper lefthand side, then "edit profile" and look for your signature info box.

my periods were always 28-35 days until i started trying to get pg. the first month i was a week "late" and i wasn't pg at all.

like pp's said...charting is your best bet for knowing your cycle

thank you!! i'll do that now. also thanks for the advice ladies-was our first ttc cycle so i think i got myself a little worked up at the possiblity. i know this could take a while...patience is a virtue!

This. Also did you happen to stop BC? I and others cycles are all messed up after stopping, and can take awhile to get regular.

was on BCP only for 6 months to try to avoid having my period on vacation. stopped taking it early October bc it didnt change my cycle anyway. used OPK to see if i was ovulating yet and i did. think im gonna wait for AF or retest in a few days. also gonna get another box of OPK for next month. that seemed to help pinpoint the right window of time.

Yeah Im thinking its due to stopping BC. I mean I hope you are KTFU. I stopped taking BC in mid october didnt get my period until November 26th. I am now on CD 40 and still no AF.

I would wait it out. Like pp said, if no AF in 60 days call your doctor. Do you have the date written down from when you got a +opk?

even just taking it for 6 months can make your cycle wacky coming off it. Also, you say you got a positive OPK... when?
