For the first time, I'm freaking out.

DH is going on a trip for 2.5 weeks for work.  He's travelled a week at a time and that's doable, but my 2 yr old is going through her first defiant stage and suddenly waking every night multiple times.  I cosleep with the twins and DH has been trying to get her back down but has brought her to bed the last few nights.  I was freaking over bedtime routines, but noiw this?  Yikes!  And I can't even drink to numb the pain or fear.  Oh dear.

My situation isn't exactly the same but wanted to share that after being solo w/ my twins for the 1st 5 weeks after they were born w/o DH, I can honestly look back and self-apply the line, "You ARE stronger than you think!"

And I'd be lying if I said it wasn't mega ROUGH at times, but...we somehow did it and I know you can, too! Credit yourself on the days/nights that go really well! Hopefully your 2 yr. old will put her newfound defiance on the back burner for you (fingers crossed)!

Thanks...I know we'll figure it out- we always do- I just don't wanna!  It is going to be megarough is an understatement!  5 weeks is a long time- I guess I'm lucky his trip is 1/2 that!  I though about going to my parents (4 hr drive) to shake DD out f sleep problems (change of scenery tends to do her good)  but the thought of packing for the 4 us for a couple days scares me!  We'll see!

Do you have a friend or family member that would stay the night with you in case you needed some help? I don't know what I'd do if my husband went out of town on me, I'd probably be freaking out like you but I don't have a 2 year old. Just 2 3month olds that don't know how to sleep more than 3 hours at a time!
