Do you use a separate sunscreen on your face

and reapply during the day (year around not just at the beach or pool)? I was using a moisturizer that had a low'ish SPF of sunscreen but after talking to the lady who does my facials it's clear that I need to start using SPF 30 and reapply at least once a day.

I'm just wondering if it's common for people to use a separate sunscreen daily and reapply?

Re: Do you use a separate sunscreen on your face

  • No, and I should.  I'm one of the highest risk skin types for sun damage/cancer, too.  (Extremely fair skin, tons of year-round freckles, blue eyes, and dark hair).  I try very hard to avoid a sunburn, but don't wear sunscreen all the time.
  • Yes. Normal sunscreen burns my face-I have incredibly sensitive skin- so I use the neutrogena stuff. In south Florida im constantly exposed to the sun and I put it on in the morning before I go out and then sometimes in the afternoon when I am outdoors a lot. The sun ages you terribly, so im taking a pre-emptive strike on it.

  • My mosturizer has SPF 25 so I put that on every morning.  In the summer if I've been at the beach all day I may reapply a face sunscreen on after swimming.  Last summer I used Neutragena face sunscreen.
