3D Ultrasound...

We were thinking of going to Belly Images on 87th and Quivira, or to Johnson County Ultrasound to get a 3D scan done.  Wondering if anyone had any experience with these places.  Thanks!

Re: 3D Ultrasound...

  • A friend of mine used belly images and didn't have a very good experience. Her picture quality was horrible, and the woman how did the ultra sound didn't have much experience. She kept saying she had an anterior placenta and she could'nt get any better pictures. My friend went with me to mine and showed her pictures to the woman who did mine(I also had an anterior placenta). She said they just needed to be rotated and she would have had better photos. Its hard to explain but there is a way to rotate/manipulate and image to get better picture quality. She even showed us with ours and other peoples sessions she had done earlier in the day. She said they use newer grads at Belly Image that don't have much expierence.

I used Prenatal Imaging Centers off 104th street. They were a little cheaper than the others. They are super nice and took the extra time to show you as much as they can in the time allowed. I didn't feel rushed and was able to have my husband,my mom, both my sisters and my friend be there with me. We got a DVD of the session and tons of pictures. They don't have a set amount of pictures you get to take with you. (My Dr office only let you have 5 pictures total from the session they offered.)

Prenatal Imaging is AWESOME!  I can not say enough good things about them.  We had me, my DH, and my IL's there and they made us feel so comfortable.  The DVD and pictures were excellent.  I highly suggest using them!

  • I also went to prenatal imaging and had a great experience. I think you get a lot for the price as well.
