Ok, so I hate them and I mean HATE.

Last thing RE said at appt while I was walking out the door "do NOT get pregnant....DON'T" , it is dangerous for us to get pregnant until we have two cycles after my surgery.  My uterus was cut from top to bottom and there is a high chance of uterine rupture if I don't wait long enough for healing. 

So,  I think they are the most uncomfortable things ever, I feel like my insides are rubbing off(sorry TMI) The most recent ones I bought were the ultrathins. Can you recommend any other ones that may be better?

DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    I truly hate them all. We have been using regular Trojans this TTA period; last time, we tried different ones and they all sucked.

    I'm sorry love. Just remember, it's only two cycles. You will be back to knocking boots without a sock in no time.

    I never liked condoms, when we used them, I think we stuck to Trojans--and I want to say dual pleasure? Or something similar? It didn't feel AS much as screwing a plastic baggie as the other ones. And lube was my BFF.

    Let me google.

    I get that if there isnt lots of lube on the condom.  Try that?  Also, if you chart or use OPKs then  you can NFP and not have to use condoms post ovulation.

    Hmm- I think we used the Trojan enz- they are in a blue box and I was comfortable with them.

    I say kick the condoms and use the "pull and pray" method ;) It worked for us for a long time...

    Can't really help but I wanted to say that I share in your hate of them.  I know what you mean about feeling like your insides are rubbing off....I feel like that too.  One of the worst/weirdest feelings ever.  I hate the smell too - seriously hate it with a passion.  I hope you find one that you can stand for the next two months until you're cleared!

    I will say that DH and I used pull and pray for a year and never got PG,, but DH has excellent timing and (then) a complete and absolute fear of pregnancy

    I hate them with a fiery passion. So much so that I'd really rather just not have sex than use them. That doesn't go over so well with H.

    We've been using for her pleasure Trojan lately. (These are not the ones that broke.) They seem better than others. I feel like I am constantly chaffing using condoms. UGH. I hate TTA!!!

    Word to the wise - do NOT get any that have lubrication on the inside (e.g warming, etc).  We have accidentally gotten these types before, and it doesn't end well.  Said condom slides off, and gets, ahem, stuck where it shouldn't.  At least, if you're not careful.  We had this happen on one of our first times, and a few times since.  Not good for TTA.

    We did ok with the Trojan ultrathins.

    It was either the blue box ones or the ones that are "her pleasure" i honestly cannot remember, but they do make a combo box with all kinds in there.

    We used to use the twisted pleasure which I think came in a green box. We got something else this time and they are also Trojans but they suck.

    I can't stand regular condoms either.  Even the non-latex ones.  We finally found Trojan Naturalamb condoms, which are amazing.  They're a bit pricey, but it literally feels like there is nothing there, no irritation at all, and DH loved them too.  We used them for the 8 months between when I stopped my BCPs and we started TTC.  I bought them off of ebay to save some $$.  I felt kinda naughty buying condoms in bulk, hehehe...
    BFP #1 - 2/1/09-mc 2/5/09 @4wks
    BFP #2 - 6/24/09-mc 7/25/09 @8wks
    6/09 Dx w/PCOS--Metformin & Progesterone
    8/09 Dx w/Compound Hetero MTHFR--Neevo, Metanx & BA
    BFP #3 - 1/11/10 - DD1 born 9/16/10 @39w4d, 8lbs 14oz & 20in.
    Heparin from BFP to 34wks.
    BFP #4 - 10/4/11 - DD2 born 6/2/12 @38w1d, 8lbs 11oz & 21in.
    Same med protocol as last time, but heparin continued until delivery.
    BFP #5 - 3/30/14, EDC 12/10/14!!
    Beta #1-76 (12dpo), Beta #2-238 (14dpo)

    ok, thanks for your help. I will try the lube thing, maybe that will make it better. If not...it's only one more month...it's only one more month!
