TMI is this stomach flu?

DS is almost 4 (born 4 27 06)

he has been a pretty healthy kid all along. has not really been sick since last november when he had the stomach flu.

per the advice of his pediatrician we give him a danactive shake every day during cold and flu season (probiotics boost immunity) We have had the stomach flu all around us, and we have been safe. even 2 weeks ago, a playdate sleepover, all of the other kids got it, but not DS.

tonight, he was fine all day, then at 6 30pm he had to go potty. big solid normal poop. this was followed by 3 more looser stools over the following hour and a half. the last one was yellowy, very loose, and diarrhea ish.

DS says he does not feel "barfy" and that his tummy feels better now. he had a large bowl of oatmeal ( almost a cup prepared) at home today, a piece of Sbarros pizza at the mall, and meatoaf, noodles and peas for dinner. the only snack was some cheezits mid morning. lots of milk, some juice, and a fancy chocolate. special treat.

as i read through this, i do not see anything that could cause stomach upset, and maybe he just had to poop, but yesterday again we had a friend over that came down with it later.. DS is sleeping now, no fever, but I am waiting for it to start..

any thoughts? am I being silly?

maybe he has a flu bug.  Both mt kids, ages 1 &3, threw up several times at night and were fine the next day.  DS did have a poopy mess and had a belly ache.  So i think they just had like a 24 flu bug, so maybe thats it.

It is very possible it is a stomach bug, I don't think in little ones, it always hits "both ends", we all had it last spring except DD (the youngest, who is also the only one that had the roto virus vaccine).  DS  (almost 4 at the time only puked twice and was fine, 2 days later DH and I were really sick, puking and diarhea for 1 day but weren't completely right for a week.   DD may have had loose poop but it is hard to tell in the diaper.
