Congratulations!! My milk came in on the 3rd day, but I was exclusively pumping b/c James was in the NICU on a feeding tube. Enjoy that new baby, can't wait to see pics!!
Is this your birth announcement?! Congrats, Shopgirl! With Emmie, my milk came in at about 36 hours post-birth! Really early; all the nurses were talking about it
It started to come in early with Callie, but once my morphine wore off, I had A LOT of rebound pain which put my body through a lot of stress. It ended up coming in fully on day 3.
Evelyn-Mommy to Ben 9.20.05 and Emily 5.14.07 and Callie 7.10.09!
Congrats!!! He's beautiful!! So happy for you and your whole family.
With DD#1, it was like 4 or 5 days (and I was induced if that matters). With DD#2, it came in within 48 hours and she was a serious champion nurser. She was 6lbs even when she was born and up to 7lbs 3oz at 2 weeks (when they usually are just back to their birth weight).
DD = just gradually with no issue. I nursed her all.the.time though. I think the whole every 2 hours thing they say is not frequent enough for a newborn. I was fine to let her go if she was asleep but while awake I held her constantly and offered to nurse constantly. It was so easy and just felt right.

Congrats! With Bennett, I couldn't nurse the first day, and I pumped about 16 hours after he was born. I got about an ounce, and I swear it was real milk-- just a little yellow.
congrats! Sean was a power nurser and it was in the day we left the hospital. had him on a thursday so it was in by saturday. friday night he nursed all night practically so that could be why it was in saturday.
DD1 - had her early Monday morning, milk came in Wednesday morning--she wasn't a great nurser.
DD2 - had her early Monday morning, milk came in early Tuesday (just over 24 hours)--she was a PRO at nursing from the start! She is still a great eater. She just wanted her milk and did everything in her power to help her mama by nursing so well.
Re: how long did it take u to get ur milk in?
I think it took mine a few days. It wasn't right away though. Amarah wasn't the best nurser.
I've already told you like 50 times but congrats. He's a cutie.
